About Sinai Experience

Sinai Experience is a fully Bedouin-owned and operated business managed by Mohamed Musa Abu l’Heim of the Jabaleya tribe. Mohamed works as a teacher in a small desert settlement near Saint Catherine, but tourism has been part of his family’s life for generations. Growing up in the mountains of Sinai, he developed a deep knowledge of the region’s landscapes, culture, and traditions, as well as a strong appreciation for the hospitality for which the Bedouin are known.
Today, Mohamed works with a trusted network of local Bedouin guides, cameleers, drivers, and camp operators across South Sinai. Whether you are looking for a mountain hike, a desert safari, a cultural experience, or simply reliable transportation, he can help arrange the right program and connect you with the people who know the area best.
Contact Mohamed today to discuss your plans and discover how he can help you experience Sinai beyond the usual tourist routes.
Responsible Tourism
Sinai Experience is committed to supporting local communities and promoting responsible tourism. We believe tourism should benefit the people who live in the places visitors come to enjoy. Whenever possible, we work with local Bedouin guides, drivers, cameleers, gardeners, camp operators, and small family businesses.
A portion of the profits generated through Sinai Experience is dedicated to community projects, with a particular focus on supporting the traditional mountain gardens of the Saint Catherine region and the families who maintain them. Periodic updates on supported projects will be published on this website.
By choosing Sinai Experience, you are dealing directly with local Bedouin rather than an outside tour company. This helps ensure that tourism income remains within the local communities while providing visitors with a more authentic and personal experience.
